The chassis consists of welded/rivited frames and CNC wheels fixed to axles, quartered with crank pins fitted.
Coupling and piston rods are available (bushed) along with some platework (running boards).
The boiler was professionally built by Valentine Welding and Engineering and was built in 1997.
I think Valentines ceased trading in the late 1990's and rumour has it they became part of D and S Steam.
The boiler is unused and comes with some photocopied paperwork relating to the steel material and details the material meeting the BS 1501-151/161 GR 430A and 430B requirements.
Some original documentation can be viewed but as several of these were built as a batch I will be keeping the originals.
I have a Romulus and the only difference I can find is that my Romulus has an 8" wide firebox and a 9" wide boiler barrel.
This boiler barrel is 8" wide leading me to think it may have been for the Remus design.
Both the Romulus and Remus designs where drawn by Roger Marsh.
I have never seen the Remus drawings so I cant guarantee that they had slightly different boilers.
The Romulus design had a well tank between the frames whereas I dont believe the Remus design did.
