UPDATE 07-September-2006 - Finally finished and tested with a current boiler certificate.
Exmoor Pony is now complete. This is a lovely little loco that I almost kept myself.
The reason that I didnt was that two of the three clubs that I am hoping to run at only having a raised track so I am looking for a 5" tender loco.
A new injector compliments an effective axle pump. The blower kicks in at 20psi with the injector picking up at 40psi.
The boiler is small for 7 1/4" being 3.45 litres in capacity. This has its advantages in that the loco is a comfortable two man lift,
and the other evening around a friends house, we raised steam in little over 10 minutes from cold.
There is a hand pump but its not the best in the world and if I had kept this
loco I would have looked at replacing it in due course. The loco had a set of excellent nameplates from Diane Carney with a spare unpainted set also included.
These nameplates are superb and set off the rather nice paint job (even if I do say so myself!) a treat.
All in all a lovely little locomotive that is a lot of fun to steam.
